• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Sup.

New member here, new Tacoma owner as well - found a truck I fricken love here from a link from TW so I figured I'd sign up here. I came from a 2006 Chevy 1500 LT Regular Cab 4.8 v8 shitbox which needed everything you could imagine...dumb dealer offered me stupid money so I found my way into a Tacoma. To be exact, I found my way into a 2018 Cement Gray DoubleCab Shortbed Limited.

I'm still working on grabbing some pictures but I'll get those up as soon as possible!

Current Mods :
- eBay TRD Pro Grill
- Lower Plastic Removal (under front bumper)
- Blacked Out Emblems

Thanks for the kind words folks! I'm looking for suggestions on a lift, I'm not sure what the go to is. Ideally I'd like to keep it budget friendly, I was looking at the OME Kit which should give me about 2.5" of lift if I read correctly.

budget friendly and suspension dont really play fair. IF your looking for affordable a bilstein set-up and UCA's is your best bet. at 2.5" lift UCA is a must. MY suggestion, hold out for a little longer and put together the full kit you want.

I run: Fox 2.5 / Dirt King UCA & LCA / Icon RXT leaf pack / archive garage hammer hangers. Short of long travel it's way more than I really need.

Budget friendly you can do the bilstien 5100 and bilstien 5160 it’s really affordable and it’s a great starter setup super reliable it’s what I’m running and I love it but if you can hold off I agree with vacant.stare and just save for a setup you want

Yeah I should've added that budget to me means quality stuff... I'd rather buy once then replace mad shit later down the road for light off roading cause I bought crap. Would just cost more in the long run.

Yeah. Ideally I'd like to show my truck in some fundraising car shows here in my state, something with some show would be dope.

As someone who has literally done every part 2 or 3 in their quest to be the final boss its exhausting.

Potentially keeping them for a bit, the vehicle is a lease so I may have to swap that crap back on if I trade her in however - if one gives a good offer that I can't refuse, I'd be more inclined to let them go haha

I assume this is for your BSM quest?

Yessir!! I eventually wanna get a nice set after I cut up my tester light and have the originals as a backup.

Once you've finished your tests and get it good to go let me know / make me an offer and maybe we can work something out lol

Installed my N2 Designs Plug & Play Remote Start w/ 4G Remote Start - thing is absolutely fantastic. The fact it's plug and play is amazing, no cutting wires, no scary electrical work. The 4G Remote Start is amazing... I can sit in my work chair, start, stop, unlock and lock my truck. I also can GPS track my truck which is amazingly accurate, like scary accurate.
