• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Post your suspension/tires/wheel info with pics!

I don't have a pic yet (because my kit isn't installed yet), but I will have:

Bilstein 5100 3gen all around, fronts set on 0
OME 884 Springs
1.5" AAL
1/4" Headstrong Spacer for bro lean
OEM TRD Sport wheels
265/65/17 OEM Firestone craptastics

I have everything on hand, just waiting for my cousin to have the time to help wrench (his garage is fucking killer)

I'm going for a little lift because I don't do much off-road, and when I do it's not technical. This is a purely "aesthetic" & "ride comfort" lift. I will probably go tall/skinny tires in the winter.

That ass tho. Holy shit. Id shoot the works if I was doing what you were with my truck....

Up front,
OME 886 coils
Nitrocharger 90000 shocks
I put 2 trim packers on the driver’s side and 1 on the passenger. Still have Taco lean. I have a spacer to add to the driver’s side, but I’ve been too lazy to install it. Need to get that done soon.

Just a little flex. The shocks are only extended about 3/4 in this pic. Plenty more flex to go. This was after my company picnic, which is why my girl has her face painted. She’s trying her best to imitate the Taco stretch. Lol

Your setup is sick. I’ve never heard of that rear setup on a Taco.
Thanks.
I only know of two other 3rd gens that have done a 63 swap. Quite a few 1st and 2nd gens though.
I guess not many people want to take a torch and grinder to a brand new truck. Lol.

I’ll be that guy.

Ive gone from crawling to jumping my truck while racing across the dessert in the same day. Yeah it’s no pre runner but the remote adjusters are amazing soft on the trail form it up when smashing across the dessert.

I wish I went with a setup like that instead of the basic 5100 kit.

It amazes me how different these trucks look on even a modest lift with bigger tires. Like a whole different truck. I reall can't wait to get my set up on and decide what to do for tires.

Keep the posts coming folks!

this is the exact lift i was looking into! did you get from headstrong off road? and do you have any rubbing with the 285's and stock wheels? thats been my biggest gripe looking into a lift, i do not want to swap out the factory wheels i love the way they look on my truck.

I got it from Headstrong, yes. I do have rubbing when flexing off-road. But on road there is never any rubbing. I can live with that for now.

I could live with that as well as im only a weekend-warrior on the beach and driving into hunting land upstate. your bilsteins are set to the 0 mark and you let the springs do the lift?

They’re set to 0.85 which is second to highest I think.
