• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Searched and didn't find one, so making it. Let's use this thread for all things mountain bike (y)

I have a few in the stable but mostly ride a 2017 Fuel EX 9.8. It's a lot of bike for SW Michigan but is a perfect "do everything" bike for traveling around the country with the Taco. My Favorite trail so far has to be Hiline in Sedona:)

After 10 years away from mtn biking I decided to try it again. Hopefully less stitches this time. Brand new Gaint Anthem! This weekend I should actually get some dirt on the bike.

Welcome back!
I rode a ton in my teens then just stopped. Picked it up again in my early 30's and am currently obsessed :p

Rode a bunch through my 30's then once I hit 40, I decided to drink beer and get fat! At 45 I will not be going as fast or hard but cannot wait to get back on the bike. Always fun and relaxing!

Used to ride so much on Long Island which has really dope and well maintained trails by the CLIMB guys. https://climbonline.org/

Marine Corps has fucked up my back enough to where riding is possible but very uncomfortable. I want to get back into it, especially that I live in Cali now. I’m just not sure how much I should abuse my back for the passion at the risk of literally destroying it.

I would like to say yes, do it! BUT the back is not easily repaired. The scars and stiches just look cool and make for a good story!!!
SoCal has some great riding! So does AZ especially now that the weather is cooling down!

Finally got the bike on some trails today! Fun but it was painful at times.

I’m one of them bike hippie types. Stable has a SS and a surly Wednesday. Pretty much just take the fatty everywhere. You get some comical looks when you come bombing down on one of those bad boys.

I just sold this:

Rad bike, rad car! I'd love an Evil The Following, but I've got friends that own a local shop that sells Trek and Specialized, so they would disown me :ROFLMAO:

When you sold I was thinking you were out for good. Cool to see a new build going.

Had a trek Remedy for the summer but it was a bit big for my tiny legs. Sold it and waiting to decide on what to get next. Keeping my eye on some YT's, Trance, Santa Cruz Bronson, or up for any suggestions.

Last year I did a bunch of trips:
Squamish
Moab
Park City
Whistler
Jasper
California

So much want.

I’m gonna get a full suspension when I get out of the Marines and hope my back can handle it. Hardtail is more fun to me but my back thinks otherwise.

Ya, having that extra travel and cushion is a lot easier on the body.

excited for this bike though. I demoed one in Squamish, BC Canada in the summer and it was way more playful than my Remedy and climbed a lot better too.

What's everyone using for bike racks? I plan on getting a tailgate pad for when my friends and I ride downhill but when I'm riding solo I would like a super quick, simple rack that doesn't require me to take the front wheel off. I was thinking something like the thule insta-gater but if there's something cheaper that'd be great too.

I use our Outboard Bike Mounts.
