I have a 2018 sport. I have the standard factory grill. I was thinking about replacing it with the Toyota flat black grill. I have seen the aftermarket one for about 100 dollars. Should I go with the aftermarket or go to Toyota?

Thanks

I did it on my mine I got a replica trd grille for 100 bucks and let me tell you looks just the same as oem one I chose this one cause I didn’t feel like spending 500 on oem grille of Course there is some flaws but you really teally have to pay attention to them but looking at it looks like it’s oem if I were you get it!

Most people agree the knock if is just as good of a light hunk of plastic as the overpriced Toyota one. Get the knock off.

I personally have the faux TRD pro grill, and picked up an authentic grille garnish from my local dealer to work with my 18 TSS. Think it looks great and the TSS works like it should without any problems

Save your money and get the knockoff. No sense in wasting the money on the OEM grill.

Yeah, same here. i was worried about the knock off, but its really not bad at all. total cost was 100 for grill 80 for garnish which is cheaper if you order garnish online. thats if you have the tss.

The knock off is just as good, it’s a grill man, don’t go overboard on price, put that money elsewhere!

Thanks everyone appreciate the input!!

I haven't seen too many knock-off brands. Any recommendations? I've got a 2017.

I have had the faux pro grille nearly a year on my 16. I paid $140 back then and prices have continued to drop. I took a picture yesterday. I have no complaints with the quality, fit and finish. Others worried about uv protection and long term quality. I think it was a very good investment.

Did anyone have any issues buying either the 16-17 or faux grill and installing their TSS on there. Or for those that made the change, did you do anything special to install the TSS?

You'll need to get the garnish from Toyota. Or I've seen other people put some sort of ABS in front of the TSS. From what I've read online its to prevent any moisture build up in front of the radar which causes it to malfunction.

I have the faux grill, and purchased the TRD Pro garnish from my local dealership.. TSS works as it should no issues at all and fits 100% without any modifications. You can find them on eBay as well.
