• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

I decided to plasti-dip my wheels matte black, has anyone else done this to their T3? If I don't like it, I can just peel it off. I can't wait to buy new tires (KO2's) but will use these ones until it's time to upgrade. Pics below:

I’ve done it on previous wheels. Looked great at first but over time it started fading, and even when it’s clean it still kinda looks like it has a permanent layer of brake dust. Tip: If you don’t lay it on thick enough, it’s a pain to remove. I’ve resolved to just using it on smaller trim pieces and grilles.
